DAY 10: Majestic By eliza

12/07/15

As an events planner and blogger I get to meet so many wonderful professional industry members that over the years have become my friends. So the first person I thought of to design a gown was of course was my humble contact Shazia from Majestic By Eliza in Edinburgh.Photo 27-05-2015 20 38 50

Shazia has her own studio, which isn’t actually very common within Edinburgh and her boutique has a large selection of outfits and different styles. Other than being a bridesmaid at my best friend’s wedding, I’ve never had a custom-made outfit. After so much drama and stress with finally receiving our outfits, I was a little hesitant with boutiques but Majestics by Eliza reminded me that not every designer is the same. It was great that Shazia let me decide on what type of fabric and fitting that I wanted and then gave her professional option. I knew she was an expert in her field by using her experience as well as her knowledge to understand my mood board and theme for my Nikka. Shazia also understood my taste and shape to what suits my petite frame.

After seeing a sketch and getting the thumbs up from my in-laws, I’m really excited to see the end final results.
