Heylo my little blogbees!
Sorry about the late blog post! Been a bit of a busy bee! I’m learning to finally enjoy life and put my phone away. Yes SHOCK! 😐
About Edinburgh Blogger’s
As stated in the ‘About Sultana’ along side Farah from Fazfashiondiary and Emily from Frankly Ms Shankly we are the founders of Edinburgh Bloggers. The team naturally came together and created @Edinburghblogg. I’ve worked with Farah a number of times now on Edinburgh Metropolitan Fashion Show and Peppy Miller. And I first met Emily during Crabtree and Evenly and Filling station cocktail master class.

We believe we have our own unique flare that contributes to represent Edinburgh Bloggers. As an Events management graduate born and bred in Edinburgh, Farah running her own events and fashion company (metropolitan Fashion Show) and Emily one of the most recognised bloggers in Edinburgh with a huge list of blogging and social networking followers we bring together a strong team with a mix of skills that can build a brand within Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Blog Aim’s and Objectives:
– To bring together the growing community of Bloggers in Edinburgh.
– To promote networking and exchange of details
– To create and maintain a database of Edinburgh Bloggers for marketing and business to business use.
We have had a number of business already interested in our database ie Kurt Geiger, We Crave it, Zomato, Metropolitan Fashion Show, Mimi’s Bakehouse.
Gatherings
We hope to have gatherings with Edinburgh Bloggers every few months. This will either be in an exclusive event format or a casual tea and cakes catch up. (cakes nom!)
Edinburgh Blogger’s first gathering
Once we started the private group page on facebook we instantly had a huge response of members added or asking to be a part of the group. I didn’t even know we had that many bloggers in Edinburgh! Already we have 76 people part of this group! We have such a variety of bloggers from; Lifestyle, Food, Fashion, Beauty, Music, Film and Photography.
So the girls and I organised our first gathering on Sunday the 24th of August between 2-4pm hosted in The Rosehip, Rose street Edinburgh (P.s I would advice not taking your car into town during the Edinburgh Festival! You will struggle to find a space).
The event was a networking opportunity for the bloggers and to raise funds by raffle for the Macmillan cancer support.
We had donations from:
- Shoes by @fazredesign
- Sweat from @abetwix
- T-shirt from @nhkollections
- Goody in the bag @thetemplesalon
- Voucher @LTAccessories
- Voucher & goodies in the bag @FSrestaurant
- Voucher @MissDixiebelle
- Goody bag voucher @100cubanisimo
The event was sponsored by Metropolitan Fashion show which provided the photographer and extra body for assistance, Exquisitely Beautyful who donated handmade cupcakes and The rosehip who let us use half the restaurant for our gathering.
We had little goodie bags with personalised tags for the 20-30 bloggers that attended our first gathering.

The response from all the bloggers has been great! Really positive and encouraging feedback! As this was our first gathering we are all still learning, The beautiful Emma Philbin suggested a sort of speed dating format gathering as bloggers as an idea for the next event. This way everyone gets the chance to meet each other and get to network with people around the room. Great idea Emma!
Overall very relaxed event and great to get to meet the bloggers behind the writing 😀

I won a raffle prize!! A material bag and Jumper from Abetwix! I never win so I was a pretty happy bunny 🙂
#Lookbook
If you’ve ever visited Scotland during the summer you will know we really don’t get a summer which means no Sunshine 😦 So I bought these amazing fit petite white skinny jeans from Asos in MAY! And I finally got the chance to wear them! The weather was amazing! Unlike me I was so organised with what I was wearing, so I had to wake up early to decide and pick up the yummy cupcakes from Fife.
I matched my skinny white jeans with a white blazer and this amazing colour block electric blue top!
I paired my look with my nude strappy heals, I got this idea from Kim Kardashian, as suggested in the VIP Filling station Re-launch post. Kimmy’s strappy shoe game is always on point! Making her legs look longer and the open toe strappy look makes it like she’s walking barefoot (in the most attractive way possible). I didn’t match my heal’s with my jeans and blazers as I personally think white heals are tacky and blue would make the look over the top.
Being a 80s kid I’m loving the 80s/90s Saved by the Bell hair styles at the moment.
So I kept my hair big and had bouncy loose curlers. My makeup I kept simple with a bit of bronze, black eye liner and nude lips.
