“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

The Queen Margaret University 2014 graduation Ceremony was held on the 1st of July at the Edinburgh Usher Hall. Β Such an emotional day! Proudest day of my life! In the last 4 years, I managed to juggle being a full time student, have a part time job paying my own way (Miss Independent ;P), help organise around 2 events per year, completed a 6 month paid Internship opportunity, have a social life AND maintained a healthy lifestyle by attending the gym regularly! So you can imagine how over the moon I am all my hard work paid off!
All graduates were to collected our Gowns from 8:30am on the third floor in the Usher Hall. It was so busy outside! There was a band of Scottish Bagpipers which was creating a buzz for everyone.
The Ceremony lasted around 2.5hours, we were all allocated seats as certificates were given by order. The Guest speaker at the ceremony was Former BBC International affairs Journalist Kate Adie.
http://www.theedinburghreporter.co.uk/2014/07/honorary-degrees-from-queen-margaret-university/ The Usher Hall had the classic Edinburgh Victorian Heritage signature, I love these timeless buildings!!
During the Event, it was great seeing everyone collect there certificates on stage! I wear heals nearly everyday so walking in heals does not scare me…but walking on stage with a full room of around 2,000 people is pretty scary!! The short walk on stage felt like it went on forever!
Β It was great having my family with me along with my class friends! I took plenty of selfies π We took a few professional photographs which will hopefully be with me within the next few days π (y)

As Jennifer Lopez once said…”Watch these Red bottoms,Β And the back of my jeans…..I’m throwing on my Louboutins ”Β π π π
We did it !! Congratulations and Good luck to all new QMU Graduates!! All the best and I hope our paths cross in our industry!
The day couldn’t of went any better with the sun shinning (in Edinburgh we rarely see the sun), got my So Kate 120mm LouboutinΒ on, my beautiful watch from my parents and my sister right behind me!
Thanks for reading π
