Exciting news for you my readers!!! I’ve got the position to be the Marketing and Events internship for Alba Flamenco, Edinburgh. 😁😁😁

Alba Flamenco is a dance studio for Flamenco dancing. The company has been around for 5 years and is currently the market leader in Edinburgh for this style of dancing.
Flamenco dancing is a style of Spanish music and dance. The 19th century dance includes cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance) and palmas (handclaps).
In the Alba Flamenca website (2014) it states within the classes, learning is based around a complete dance that introduces the fundamentals of rhythm, movement, ‘compas’ and expression.
Flamenco is all about self expression, understand the rhythms and steps to enhance overall co-ordination and grow in confidence until students are ready to take to the stage and perform publicly.
In March 2014 Alba Flamenco will hold performance shows. These events vary every year depending on the demand. They also produce an annual show for students to showcase their new and improved skills.

My roles and responsibilities are to update and market the Alba Flamenco website, ensure all social networking platforms are thoroughly updated, find sources for sponsorship for the company, market the event performances, sell tickets, help on the running on the event day and seek out other sources of income.
In return of my internship I get to reference this rare opportunity on my C.V. And I even get to join free classes in Flamenco dance.
